Last night I dreamed that me, mike, and darai got on the F train to go to school, but we ended up near Coney Island in this reallly crappy, decrepite part of town. It was so grimey and full of homeless people. We got back on the train and this bum took off his pants by the subway entrance and laughed maniacally. While waiting for the train, a bunch of donkeys started walking up the tracks in 2 straight lines, there were maybe 10 of them. We were like what the hell is this and darai said, "Oh!! they have prizes and you have to find them!" We reached down because each donkey was wearing a rucksack type thing with pockets, and pulled out tons of goodies--some of it was cool but there were also random useless items, like a floppy disk. There were beauty products and 2 giant chinese food soup container things filled with weed, as well as a bulging bag of white powder which I assumed to be mdma. I remember Mike saying he wasnt going to India.

Dave convinced me to go see the midnight premiere of the Watchmen on thursday night. It was GREAT! I want to read the comic book now--oh I'm catching nerd.

last night dave and I went to this avant garde art show on this docked boat that had at one time spent years at the bottom of the chesapeake bay. they had a makeshift bar and grill, and you could walk all over the ship where there were art installations everywhere and basically no area was off limits, and it was pretty damn cool. It was near chelsea piers, specifically at pier 66. The main reason we were going was because MC Chris was gonna perform, and Dave is a fan, and to top it off, the thing was only $5. I now have become a fan, I have to say.

Tonight is Rubulad, for a last hurrah before mike leaves for india

ladies and gentlemen of the jury

So, today I have to cut class for a legitimate reason: jury duty. Also a legitimate reason for why I've been up since 6:30 AM. Lame. I didn't know they keep you there all freakin day! I was called in yesterday, ugh. I don't even know what to expect, I'm just going to try to get out of any future courts using my status as a poor, stressed-out student.

It's 7:40. I have to be in Jamaica at 8:30 so it's time to get headin out. See ya sucker

dinner and a movie

Last night, Dave and I ate at Dee, a Thai restaurant by us, and it was mmm mmm so good. (i got tofu pad cee ew, oh man so delicious)We had an urge to travel to a pet store to buy a creature to love, so we went to Petco in Union Square shortly after, just to look around. I want a rat and Dave wants a reptile or fish, but we have very limited space for another living thing in this room, so I think we're holding off. Then, we headed to see Man on Wire, FINALLY! It's this awesome documentary/dramatization of this French highwire walker who actually walked on a tightrope between the Twin Towers in nyc in the 70s. This guy actually got not only himself and 3 other accomplices onto the two roofs while the area was still under construction, but also several hundred pounds of equipment and wire (duh). Not only did he get all this stuff up there, but he strung up a crazy anchoring system and managed to avoid several close calls with security. It was truly an amazing film, and there were so many parallels between this stunt and what happened on 9/11--it was weird and moving at the same time. It's on dvd but was also playing at the Sunshine theaters, so I advise anyone who's interested to check it out.

I also got cheesecake to eat in the theater but it was a fail. Sugar Bakery, you make shitty 5 dollar slices of cheesecake.

Andrew and Hendryx came over also and we played Cranium and Buzz, and that was fun. We need more clay.

This morning I called the restaurant I've been doing coat check for and told them I wasnt coming in tonight. They aren't paying me at all (I work off tips) and the other night I worked for like 5 hours and made only 40 bucks so I said fuck that. Plus it's boring as shit just sitting around waiting. Dave and I went to Beacon's Closet instead (in hipsterville aka willyb) and I got jeans and a denture ice cube tray! ahahah. Ridiculous.

It's 12:30 AM and I have drawing class at 10 AM. FUcking hunter CLOSE YOUR DOORS FOR THE MEGA-STORM. Yeah right. I doubt they will. 2 years in and we still never had a snow day. I should get to sleep cause the trek to class with my big ass portfolio in several inches of wet snow is going to be SOOO FUN.

bythe by, Revenge of the Nerds=awesome movie.

Today I bought some clothes

WHY are skinny jeans "in style"? They're my least favorite of all jeans, and I had a rough time finding normal ones. I hate the mall and I hate shopping--it's such a chore. I'm so not a girl haha.

I surprised Dave with Taco Bell upon arrival back home (cause I'm awesome) and now I'm waiting for him to come home from school so we can watch a movie (we have so many that need to be viewed). Revenge of the Nerds vs. Pineapple Express.
